Arkon's Bluetooth GPS receiver is ideal for use with Bluetooth enabled PDAs, Laptops, and Smartphones. By itself, it is not a complete GPS solution. GPS map software is required in addition to the Bluetooth GPS receiver to have GPS functions on your device.
If you already have GPS map software, then the super sensitive Sirf III BT339 GPS receiver is the final component you'll need for adding GPS to your Bluetooth enabled PDA, Laptop, or Smartphone.

The single suction windshield mount is ideal for use with a Bluetooth GPS receiver. Many new cars, particularly some of the French cars and other European models have a new feature on the windshield that is known as the thermal windshield film. These type of windshields can be problematic for Bluetooth GPS receiver users as they block out the reception from the satellites. By using the single suction windshield BT GPS receiver mount, you can place your receiver in the one area of the car that is not blocked by the thermal film, up by the rear view window.
